Aruba's Famous California Lighthouse

Located on the North West tip of Aruba you'll find the California Lighthouse. This lighthouse was built in 1912 after a U.S. steamship - the California - ran aground in 1910. One of Aruba's most famous landmarks, the California Lighthouse area provides great views of Palm Beach and the high rise hotels, the rough surf off the Northern coast, and a rough landscape of coral, rock, sand, and cactus. Be careful if you venture off the paths surrounding the Lighthouse - the rock is extremely sharp and a fall could send you to the hospital for stitches!

There is a nice restaurant located next to the California Lighthouse - La Trattoria El Faro Blanco - that serves great Italian Food. The restaurant features outdoor dining so you can watch the sunset from your table.
