Golfing
Tips
Aruba's weather and golf courses are great and guarantee a good time for you and your golfing
buddies. Here are a few things to keep in-mind before setting out on your round:
Aruba's sun is hot - be sure you're prepared with plenty of sunscreen to
protect your skin. Don't forget the back of your neck and your ears.
Stay hydrated - along with the hot sun comes the possibility of becoming
dehydrated. Be sure to drink plenty of water.
Be aware of head winds and crosswinds - Aruba brings a new challenge to your
golf game if you haven't played in windy environments before. The strong breezes blowing across the
island can create some challenges when you're playing. Be aware if you're shooting into the wind,
or if there is a crosswind that can affect the direction of your shot.
Consider playing late in the day - you can save some money on greens fees by
playing 3pm or later depending on the time of year.
Do you really want to lug your clubs? - unless you're visiting Aruba
specifically to play golf you might want to rent clubs rather than lug them to Aruba. Check with
either course mentioned above to make arrangements.
Bring your camera - there are plenty of great vistas that you'll want to
capture while you're golfing.
